General Practice Medicine Worcester
Dr. James Rooney loved science from a young age and chose medicine so he could keep learning every day. He studied at New York Medical College and completed a hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Rochester. He now cares for patients dealing with breast, lung, colon, prostate, and other cancers, including leukemia. Dr. Rooney helps patients understand their disease, so treatment feels clearer and not as daunting. He likes to use advanced tools, including gene chip technology, to guide care. He enjoys seeing patients do well. In his free time, he likes cooking, taking nature photos, and studying astronomy, a hobby he has loved since high school.
