Mustafa Akyurek

Dr. Mustafa Akyurek is an associate professor of surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and a cosmetic and plastic surgeon at UMass Memorial Medical Center. He also serves as the director of microsurgery for the Medical School’s Plastic Surgery Program. Janice Lalikos

Dr. Janice Lalikos is the craniofacial clinic director and section chief of pediatric plastic surgery at UMass Memorial Medical Center. She is an Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and the clinical research director in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Lalikos was educated as a medical artist. She received a magna cum laude bachelor of arts degree from Case Western Reserve University in conjunction with the Cleveland Institute of Art — designing her own degree in biological illustration. That artistic background served her well as she moved into the field of cosmetic surgery. She received both an MD and an MA degree in medical illustration from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. It was there that she realized that plastic surgery would be the natural synthesis of her talents and interests. She completed her general surgery residency at Vanderbilt University and her plastic surgery residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She has trained in cleft and craniofacial anomalies at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Linkou, Taiwan. Dr. Lalikos’ general clinical interests revolve around plastic surgical treatment of mother and child, including repair, reconstruction and restoration. At the Cosmetic Surgery Center, she is involved in a variety of procedures, including: Breast augmentation Abdominoplasty and body contouring Eyelid rejuvenation Facial injectables (e.g., Botox® treatments) She also performs liposuction procedures. Dr. Lalikos has garnered numerous academic and clinical accolades over her many years of practice. She was given honorary Phi Delta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha memberships from East Carolina University. In 2009, she was listed in Best Doctors®and America’s Top Doctors. A well-respected researcher as well, Dr. Lalikos has established clinical and research databases for the Craniofacial Clinic and people who have undergone treatments for obesity to enhance the success of these types of surgeries. Raymond Dunn

Dr. Raymond Dunn is board certified in both plastic surgery and hand surgery. Dr. Raymond Dunn stands behind the safety and quality of services provided at the UMass Memorial Cosmetic Surgery Center. He has brought his experience to patients for two decades, tailoring cosmetic procedures to each individual’s unique needs. Named consistently to the list of Best Doctors® in the nation, Dr. Dunn is recognized as an exceptional leader in his field of plastic surgery. He was elected president of the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons in 2005, and in 2002 was awarded the Godina Fellowship from the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery. Dr. Dunn is one of America’s Top Plastic Surgeons, and appeared in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. Dr. Dunn completed his undergraduate education at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he remains an adjunct professor of biomedical engineering. He completed his medical education at Albany Medical College, general surgical training at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and plastic surgery training at the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. He is a professor of surgery and cell biology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. John Castle

Dr. John Castle is the plastic surgery director at the UMass Memorial Comprehensive Breast Center. He also serves as a clinical assistant professor of surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Douglas Rothkopf

Dr. Douglas Rothkopf is the Interim Chief of the Plastic Surgery Residency Program at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He also serves as a Professor of Surgery. Dr. Rothkopf’s practice spans the full spectrum of plastic surgery — from breast enhancements, facelifts and tummy tucks to cleft lip and hand surgery.
